A New Suspension Cable, Not a New Door

Like most mechanical systems, a garage door needs replacing at some stage, but then again, sometimes it’s just a selection of parts that need replacing. If your garage door is in good shape but it is not functioning, then the problem could just be a snapped suspension cable.

This is such a common issue for many types of garage doors yet it’s so cheap to replace when you know what you’re looking for. A snapped suspension cable can mean that it’s virtually impossible to open your garage door, while a couple of new cables can be fitted easily, you don’t even need to be mechanically minded. A new cable is sometimes all that’s needed for a garage door to feel brand new again, and if you can find the part and fit it yourself, you may just save yourself hundreds of pounds.
