Garage Doors

How does an intruder break into your garage door?

A potential intruder will always pay attention to the type of garage door you have installed. Many people don’t consider the security of their garage door especially if the door has already been in place for a number of years.

Brute force is one method of entry, while not elegant, it is effective against older doors. Older doors may have noticeable gaps around the edges, weak locking systems and signs of poor maintenance. Older doors that rely on a weak latch can also be broken into. Latches secured only by a cable can be manipulated quickly and subtly by an intruder. Now might be the time to update your garage door.

Compared to older garage doors, modern garage doors should provide a high level of security.

There are several security features available for garage doors, including Multi-point locking systems, Euro profile cylinder locks and Locking rods.
